After saying he is keen to purchase Premier League giants Chelsea, more questions have been asked about Lee Andrews’ supposed wealth and now he has given more details

Lee Andrews says his millions in the bank come from a previous relationship – and admits it is time to ‘drop the facade’. Katie Price’s new husband says he wants to be open about his finances, which have been scrutinised since the star’s shock wedding. The Dubai-based businessman previously said his wealth comes from his savvy deals and his contacts in the Middle East.

Lee, who has been slapped with a travel ban, now insists he has another revenue stream thanks to a past relationship with a Russian dignitary. While he refuses to name the woman, the self-described multimillionaire says the cash was made via the energy industry. He said last month that he could pocket up to $5m annually from the US stock market.

The pair tied the knot in Dubai earlier this year, just days after meeting one another. Ever since, he has faced allegations of being a scammer. Lee’s former fiancé, Alana, claimed women had reached out to her, saying they had been duped by Lee, and said that he wasn’t who he said he was.

Katie has always defended her man, and explained she wasn’t “stupid” and had done her own research into Lee’s claims about his residency in Dubai and his property worth a staggering £36 million, which he claims he paid for in cash. Now, Lee has spoken about how he came to have such a large bank balance.

“It’s cash I’ve accumulated from a previous relationship,” he said. “She will remain anonymous. She’s a Russian dignitary, very high up there, and this was cash that was accumulated through various agreements and contracts as I was entering the energy industry in Russia.

“The cash is mine, it sits where it sits, I won’t divulge that information,” he told The Sun. “I’m banking most of this, which means it gets put under a redemption, as the US wants most of its own notes back. I think that’s by royal decree, as requested by [Donald] Trump at the moment.”

Katie has been regularly heading out to Dubai – despite the conflict in the Middle East – but she has shut down the idea of her moving there. Unpacking their romance in a recent episode of her podcast, the former glamour model revealed that her eldest son, Junior, was among those questioning how fast things had moved with Lee.

“I was talking today to Junior and he said: ‘Mum, why did you get married so quick?’, she recalled. “I said, ‘Junior there’s a show called Love is Blind where they get to know each other but don’t know what they look like and marry them. No one moans about that concept.

“They know nothing about the other person. But I actually got to know Lee, I saw him face to face on the screen. Yet I marry him and it’s uproar. It’s alright for programmes to do it.”

Making it clear she won’t be moving to Dubai any time soon, she added: “I’ve got five children, I’m not going to just get up and move to Dubai. I want to get to know Lee more before anything.

“There’s no rush. I don’t know why people are so invested. It’s nobody’s business. I live in West Sussex and that is it.”
