Hyderabad: Government Whip Aadi Srinivas described K. Kavitha’s announcement of new political party as venting her anger against her father K. Chandrashekar Rao and brother K.T. Rama Rao, adding that the move stemmed from internal family frustrations. He said Kavitha was utilisng her party as a platform to launch a counter-attack against the BRS, but the strategic move would indirectly benefit the BJP by splitting the Opposition vote.

In a media statement, Srinivas said Kavitha’s observations regarding her father had been reiterated on several occasions by Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy. “She established this party solely out of anger towards KCR and KTR. There is simply no political space left in the state for a new party,” he noted.

Referring to the allegations that Kavitha levelled, Srinivas said she was only validating the charges against the Rao family. “The BRS must provide answers to the questions that Kavitha raised. She has once again brought the issue of snooping to the forefront and investigative agencies must focus their attention on the fact that even the phone calls of own family members were tapped by KCR,” Srinivas said.
