Kelsey Parker has shared an emotional post detailing her grief as she and partner Will Lindsay mark one year since their son was stillborn, as she says her pregnancy is a ‘gift’

Kelsey Parker has shared her grief ahead of the one year anniversary of the loss of her son, Phoenix, who was stillborn. The TV personality and her partner Will Lindsay are currently expecting a baby, but a year ago, they suffered a heartbreaking tragedy when their son, Phoenix, was stillborn. This came three years after Kelsey’s husband, The Wanted singer Tom Parker, died from a brain tumour.

Ahead of the anniversary of losing Phoenix, Kelsey took to Instagram with a post about grief. She posted a selfie of herself and wrote: “I’ve been really quiet on here the last couple of days.

“Truthfully, I’ve been working a lot, trying to keep busy and just processing the fact that Sunday is a big day. It’s Phoenix’s first anniversary, and it’s Father’s Day too.

“Grief is a strange thing. Some days you can keep going and stay busy, and other days it all catches up with you. I’m learning that both things can exist at once. I can feel excited about this next chapter of life, be grateful for everything I have, and still deeply miss my little boy and wish things had been different.

“If you’re navigating grief, anniversaries or simply carrying something heavy right now, please know you’re not alone. As always… stop waiting, start living. But also, give yourself permission to feel it all.”

A few weeks ago, Kelsey and Will announced that they are expecting a “rainbow baby”, which is a term used to describe the baby that comes after a family has experienced the loss of a baby.

Kelsey shared a video to her Instagram in which she had a ultrasound to show viewers. She then placed a white feather next to the pictures, to symbolise Tom and Phoenix.

She said at the time that she felt like the baby was a “gift” from those she’d lost: “A year ago next month, we lost our beautiful baby boy, Phoenix. And somehow, through all the heartbreak, it feels like Tom and Phoenix have sent us another little gift from heaven our little rainbow baby.”

Kelsey recently made her first appearance after her baby announcement at the Toy Story 5 UK screening. Posing for photos on the red carpet alongside her eldest two children, Aurelia and Bodhi.

The star wore a white vest, cream trousers and an open cream leather jacket. She cradled her bump in front of the cameras, whilst beaming with happiness.

Following Phoenix’s death in 2025, Kelsey wrote a heart-breaking poem for him, which was shared on Instagram, with the caption: “Phoenix Parker-Lindsay, you will forever be loved.”

The short verse read: “The grew quiet as you arrived, So loved, so longed for, yet not alive. Our precious boy, our angel light, Born with wings, took silent flight’.

“We named you Phoenix, brave and bright. A soul of love, of warmth and light Though we never heard you cry, You’ll live in hearts that won’t ask why. No breath you drew, no eyes to see, Still, you mean everything to me. You’ll journey with us, softly near, In every sigh, in every tear.”
