Amid that, Narendra Mittal and Renu Mittal, Siya Goyal’s relatives who played a pivotal role in arranging her marriage to Ketan, have expressed their shock at the incident, saying they still cannot believe their niece would be involved in such an evil ploy.

Narendra Mittal and Renu Mittal were left stunned when their niece, Siya Goyal’s name came up in her fiancé, Ketan Agarwal’s murder case. The couple appeared before the police for questioning regarding Ketan’s murder case. They revealed that they had never imagined that Siya could kill her fiancé in collusion with her lover, Chetan Chaudhury. In fact, like other members of the extended Goyal family, they had no inkling of her relationship with Chetan. They stated:

“We never expected that Siya could do something like this. Both Siya and Ketan were well-mannered, humble, and good-natured. We have known Siya since childhood. We never even dreamt that she could do something like this.”

What happened to Ketan Agarwal?

Ketan Agarwal passed away on June 18, 2026, after falling into a 400-foot-deep gorge near Lohagad Fort. According to the reports, his skull was shattered in the fall, and he received severe injuries to his limbs, eventually passing away on the spot. However, what initially appeared to be a tragic act of fate later turned out to be an evil plot by his own fiancée, Siya Goyal. Reports revealed that the tragedy that took place near Maharashtra’s historic Lohagad Fort has now emerged as a site of an alleged murder conspiracy, with investigators relying on digital evidence to unravel the case.

The incident was initially being treated as an accident, with authorities believing that Ketan slipped and fell while visiting the area. However, the investigation soon took a turn no one had expected when Ketan Agarwal’s fiancée, Siya Goyal, visited his family four days after his funeral. According to reports, it was Ketan’s sister who reportedly noticed inconsistencies in Siya’s account of the events leading up to his death. This led the family to become suspicious about their late son’s fiancée, further prompting the family to alert police, leading investigators to re-examine the case.

Ketan Agarwal’s father revealed that the Mittals had vouched for Siya Goyal for marriage

The victim, Ketan Agarwal’s father, Vishal Agarwal, also talked to NDTV, saying that Renu Mittal had vouched for Siya Goyal, after which he agreed to the arranged marriage. He also alleged that the accused’s family was aware of her relationship with Chetan Chaudhary. According to reports, the discussions regarding the marriage began between the two families in January 2026, Mittal told police. They eventually got engaged in February 2026 and were planning a grand wedding ceremony for November 2026. Narendra Mittal further claimed that his role in the entire matter was limited to introducing the two families and facilitating their meeting for the marriage.
