Siddipet:The Siddipet district administration will begin examining from Monday, replies of landowners to the notices issued over the past week regarding alleged encroachment of government land in Survey No. 325 of Erravelli, where the farmhouse of former chief minister K. Chandrashekar Rao is located. Officials have reportedly issued 180 notices.
As per revenue (sethwar) records, Survey No. 325 of Erravelli in Markook mandal comprises 388.05 acres of ‘gairan’ government land. Officials began surveying the land following a directive from Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy. Encroached land is to be recovered and handed over to Dalit community families.
The district administration directed pattadars and cultivators to be present at their agriculture land for the ‘enjoyment survey’ on September 21. Some landowners were prepared with documents, sources said.
Speaking to Deccan Chronicle, a senior officer said: “If the cultivators submit records of the land, the officials will consider them,” he said. A few farmers brought pattadar passbooks to show the official teams, while receiving the notices.
Siddipet district collector K. Haimavathi had directed officials to conduct the survey to identify the encroachers of the government land. Under Survey and Boundaries Act, 1923, Siddipet district survey and land records, officials issued proceedings A1/516/2026 dated 17.09.2026 for enjoyment survey. Officials said they had completed the Differential Global Positioning Survey (DGPS) and identified the boundaries of government land in Erravelli.
