Khammam: A 27-year-old junior lawyer practising at the Khammam court died by suicide at his grandmother’s house in Mudigonda mandal on Tuesday.
The deceased was identified as Tolupunuri Ganesh, a resident of V. Venkatayapalem village in Raghunadhapalem mandal of Khammam district.
According to reports, Ganesh and his brother, Sai Teja, went to their grandmother’s house in Pedamandava village of Mudigonda mandal on Monday night. On Tuesday, Sai Teja and their grandmother, Padmavathi, went to a temple. When they returned, they found Ganesh hanging from the ceiling.
They immediately alerted the police, who registered a case based on a complaint lodged by Ganesh’s father, Danaiah. In his complaint, Danaiah alleged that Ganesh had told his family that someone was following him and harassing him with phone calls. The family had sent him to his grandmother’s house for a change, but he was found dead on Tuesday.
The body was shifted to a government hospital for a post-mortem examination. Further investigation is underway.
