Kiara Advani and Sidharth Malhotra have officially announced that they are expecting their second child. For those who had been speculating about a baby on the way for some time, the couple confirmed the buzz on Instagram with a sweet family-themed picture showing their hands alongside a pair of knitted baby socks.
The happy announcement comes more than a year after Kiara and Sidharth welcomed their daughter, Saraayah, in July 2025. The celebration has again drawn attention to the time she confessed about her postpartum journey, saying it took her six months to bounce back to normalcy again.

In a May 2025 interview with Raj Shamani, Kiara shared her honest thoughts on how dramatically motherhood had changed her. The actress said that after giving birth to Saraayah, she had become a completely different person. She explained:
“Everything changes in you as a personality. I feel that before and after becoming a mum, I’m a completely different person in every way. And I’ve come to terms with it also. There’s so much more purpose in everything you do.”

“Postpartum should be something that’s spoken of much more. Everyone’s journey is different postpartum. It hits you in different ways physically and emotionally. A skin situation out of the blue. Earlier, it’d make me feel, ‘Oh my god! Why has this happened!’ But now in my life, nothing can stop me, and I’ll continue to live.”
“It’s such a new world. It’s taken me six months!” Kiara said, explaining that mothers can become so focused on caring for everyone else that they forget to care for themselves. The actress shared how the postpartum period forced her to reconsider the way she spoke to herself and the boundaries she set.
Kiara explained, “You realise you’re doing so much for everyone else, you forget about the relationship you need to have with yourself, the things you need to tell yourself.”

Rumours about a second pregnancy had been making rounds for quite some time now, and the buzz gained further attention in September 2026 when, during Sidharth’s appearance on Bigg Boss 20, host Salman Khan jokingly hinted at the possibility, saying, “Hopefully you will have another one soon!”
Now that the couple has made the announcement themselves, Kiara’s old words about postpartum recovery carry a new meaning. In a post on October 6, 2026, the parents to be shared a sweet family moment, with a photo capturing Sidharth, Kiara, and Saraayah’s hands holding a pair of knitted newborn’s socks. The couple wrote:
