Have Taylor Swift and Kim Kardashian buried the hatchet?
A picture of Taylor Swift and Kim Kardashian has been making rounds on social media. The picture, allegedly from the 2026 Academy Museum Gala, has left everyone stunned, as the two have been at odds for years because of Kim’s ex-husband, Kanye West. The picture immediately went viral on social media, as many started wondering if the two celebrities had buried their feud.
The picture was first shared on X by an account named ‘Lex’. The picture featured Taylor Swift and Kim Kardashian casually chatting as they appeared at the event. For those who are not aware, this marked Taylor’s debut at the Academy Museum Gala. The singer even performed some of her hit songs at the Gala, and videos from the same have been going viral. Amid this, the pictures have created significant buzz, garnering over 350,000 views.

What is the feud between Taylor Swift and Kim Kardashian?
Talking about the feud between Taylor Swift and Kim Kardashian, their conflict dates back almost a decade. It began in 2016 with Kanye West’s song Famous. Not only did the music video feature an indecent depiction of Taylor, but the lyrics also created immense chatter. The lyrics read, “I feel like me and Taylor might still have sex / Why? I made that b*h famous.”
However, that was not the first time that things between Kanye West and Taylor Swift blew up. It was in 2009, when Taylor Swift appeared for the VMAs, and Kanye interrupted the young Taylor’s acceptance speech, claiming that Beyoncé deserved the award more. The incident has been one of the most famous moments, not just in Taylor’s career and the VMAs’ history but in the entertainment world as a whole.
What further fueled the controversy was the leaked phone call released by Kim Kardashian, who was married to Kanye West at the time. The clip of the conversation between Kanye and Taylor Swift allegedly showed Taylor giving her consent for the lyrics. That soon led to a massive backlash against the No Body, No Crime singer, with internet users flooding her account with snake emojis, officially coining her “Snakegate” era.
In 2017, Taylor Swift channeled the psychological toll of the controversy and her public isolation into her album, Reputation. She once again talked about the feud in her later-released track thanK you aIMee on The Tortured Poets Department in 2024. In 2020, the full recording of their call was leaked, which showed that Taylor was never told about the “b*tch” lyrics.
As for their current relationship, in early 2026, Kim Kardashian publicly praised Taylor Swift as a talented artist. She mentioned having older songs on her playlist, though the two have not officially closed or detailed a personal reconciliation.
