The Knicks have launched their individual game ticket sales. Part 2.
After acknowledging a blunder in its original exorbitant pricing, MSG rebooted sales Wednesday morning with cheaper tickets.
They could be purchased starting 11 a.m. with Ticketmaster.
“We thank our loyal Knicks fans for their patience. Individual tickets for this season are back on-sale and now reflect approximately 12% percent increase over last season,” a Garden spokesman told The Post. “All fans who paid more than that when tickets originally went on sale last week will receive a direct communication regarding their refund.”
Tickets for the Knicks’ title-defending season first launched last week and included eye-popping markups, including a $2,500 average price for opening night against the 76ers — with nosebleeds seats that night exceeding $1,000.
As The Post first reported, the Knicks said they made a mistake and quickly suspended sales. They promised a more modest increase — roughly 12% above last season — and relaunched six days after the suspension.
Fans who purchased tickets during the original sale will be refunded the difference between their price and the new one. Emails about the refund will be sent today, The Post has learned.
Under owner James Dolan, ticket prices were raised only when the team advanced to the playoffs. That’s happened four straight years since Jalen Brunson’s arrival, including last season’s run to the championship.
Tickets at MSG have long been among the most expensive in the NBA but the demand is high enough that it’s always a sellout.
