Konaseema: A man suffered severe burn injuries after his wife allegedly poured acid on him during a fight in Thanelanka village of Mummidivaram mandal in Dr. B.R. Ambedkar Konaseema district.
The victim, identified as Pulapakuri Arjun Kumar, was rushed to a hospital in Amalapuram for treatment.
According to reports, Arjun Kumar’s wife, Durga Bhavani, is working as a contract nurse at a hospital. It is alleged that Arjun Kumar’s relatives had taken money from Durga Bhavani after promising to help her secure a permanent job. However, when the promise was not fulfilled, it led to frequent disputes between the couple.
During one such argument, Durga Bhavani allegedly poured acid on Arjun Kumar, leaving him with severe burn injuries.
He was immediately shifted to the hospital for treatment. Police reached the spot, registered a case, and launched an investigation into the incident.
