Karimnagar: Elaborate arrangements are being made for the three-day Sri Hanuman Pedda Jayanthi celebrations to be held from May 10 to 12 at the Sri Anjaneya Swamy Temple.
Temple authorities expect a large turnout of devotees and have initiated preparatory measures in coordination with the district administration. The temple premises are being decorated with lighting and floral arrangements.
Executive officer S. Anjana Reddy said facilities including temporary shelters, drinking water and mobile toilets have been arranged. Parking areas have been identified at the hilltop and surrounding locations to manage vehicular movement.
Additional staff have been deployed for rituals, including tonsuring, in view of the expected rush for ‘Mala Viramana’. Arrangements have also been made for preparation and distribution of laddu prasadam and annaprasadam for devotees. Police personnel will be deployed for security, with surveillance through CCTV cameras and traffic regulation on ghat roads to manage crowd movement.
The celebrations will include religious rituals such as yagnas, homams and the ‘Poornahuti’ ceremony.
