Hyderabad: Residents of Villa Orchids in Kowkoor on Monday demanded that the security guard, Vikram Kumar, who was arrested in connection with murder of a five-year-old girl at the gated community, must be hanged to death publicly so that such incidents would not reoccur in future.
Holding placards and posters of the girl demanding justice to the girl, the irate residents came to the office of Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP) in Secunderabad and registered their protest.
“The girl deserves to live. The security guard killed the innocent girl. He should be hanged to death publicly instead of confining him in a room,” a resident said.
“We opt for staying in a gated community for only security purposes as we are all working employees. Now whom should we trust after the incident as a security guard was involved in the incident,” another resident wept inconsolably.
“If he (security guard) comes out we will not spare him. Ensure justice to the girl and enact a law so that such incidents would not reoccur,” the resident said, adding that the residents have full faith in the police department hoping that justice would be delivered to the girl’s family. The residents demanded a transparent probe into the incident.
