Stand-up comedian, Pranit More has found himself at the centre of attention for all the wrong reasons. It all began with the Rs. 370 biryani remark made during his show. The remark in question was made by the 23-year-old Himanshu Jangra, who says that he went on a date with a woman and treated her to a plate of biryani costing Rs. 370, and because of this, he deserved a ‘return’ on his investment.

While Himanshu has faced tremendous backlash for his comments, Pranit was also not exempt from the same. Amid this, Kunickaa Sadanand initially came out in support of Pranit, but a day later said that we should teach our sons.

What did Kunickaa Sadanand say about the Rs 370 biryani controversy?

It was on Saturday, June 13, 2026, that Kunuckaa Sadanand publicly supported her friend and further Bigg Boss 19 housemate, Pranit More, amid the ongoing Rs. 370 biryani controversy. She hoped that Pranit would be forgiven by people and would get a chance to make brilliant content when he comes back. However, on Sunday, June 14, 2026, Kunickaa took to her X account to post a new video about the same.

Kunickaa starts off the video by saying how the Rs. 370 biryani controversy has gone viral to the point that many people are also making memes on it. However, according to her, there is a much larger social issue hidden in this row. She said:

“Hamare society mein kuch log ab bhi yeh samajhte hain ki agar maine dinner pay kiya, gift diya, trips sponsor ki toh samne waale mein obligation ho gayi. Aur bahut si ladkiyan bina kisi pressure ke apne andar he andar guilty feel karne lagte hain.”

Kunickaa added that, let alone Rs 370 biriyani, even lakhs of gifts cannot buy the autonomy, dignity, and choice of a person. This is because there is no price tag attached to it. According to her, society often tends to use guilt from one’s family and partners and turn it into emotional accounting. In addition to this, it is the women who have to carry this burden. Kunickaa believes that we need to teach our daughters new lessons about how there is a difference between gratitude and obligation and how saying no is not selfishness. She added:

“We must also teach our sons. Ki agar tum kisiko dinner khikate ho toh tumne ek dinner khilaya hain tumne koi haq nahi khareeda.”

What did Himanshu Jangra say on the show that sparked backlash?

During Pranit More’s show, Himanshu recalled how he went on a date with a woman where he paid Rs. 370 for a plate of chicken biryani. And because he was the one paying, he believed that he deserved a ‘return’ on his investment. He also recalled that after eating the biryani, the woman he was on a date with asked to be dropped off at home. He told Pranit while sitting in the audience, “Maine kaha 370 rupay laga hain, main wasool toh karunga.” After the backlash, Pranit issued a statement where he wrote:

“I’ve seen the criticism regarding a recent crowd work clip. The comments made by the audience member do not reflect my views. Looking back, I should have challenged the remark instead of laughing and moving on. That was a lapse in judgment on my part.”

Following this, Himanshu also recently opened up for the first time about how he had never expected to receive so much hate. He revealed that because of this controversy, his condition has become much worse over the past two weeks. However, it was his family who scolded him and made him understand how regrettable his words were during the show.
