TIRUPATI: The digital nerve centre established in Kuppam is emerging as a model for data-driven healthcare by enabling doctors to track patient history and provide timely treatment, Chittoor district collector Sumit Kumar said on Friday.

Addressing a workshop at the Collectorate, he said the Sanjeevani project, under which the digital nerve centre is being implemented, was improving access to patient information across healthcare facilities. The workshop was organised to train medical staff from nine districts in the use of the Tata Digital Nerve Centre system.
He said the platform links patient medical records between hospitals and Primary Health Centres, allowing doctors to access previous health data during treatment. This would help improve diagnosis, continuity of care and follow-up services.
The collector said the system also provides appointment scheduling, counselling and virtual consultations with specialists. He added that digital tracking of patient records would support timely medical decisions, particularly in cases requiring regular monitoring.
He directed all PHCs to ensure full use of the system with separate logins for doctors, staff nurses, lab technicians and pharmacists, and stressed that 100 per cent outpatient data entry should be completed.
Sumit Kumar said accurate digital records linked with ABHA ID would be useful for future treatment. He added that the Tata DiNC toll-free number 155337 would be available from Monday to Saturday between 9 am and 4 pm for assistance.
District medical and health officer Naga Shashi Bhushan Reddy, special deputy collector Srinivasulu, Tata consultant trainer Tapan Das and medical officers from several districts attended the programme.
