Kurnool: Andhra Pradesh Lokayukta Justice T. Mallikarjuna Rao has ordered disciplinary action, recovery of government funds and cancellation of illegal land registrations in three separate complaints against government employees.
In a complaint filed by former Jammalamadugu MLA Adinarayana Reddy, it was alleged that `21.92 lakh in ex gratia was paid for 24.02 acres of assigned government land in Bukkapatnam village of Kondapuram mandal, Kadapa district, based on forged documents.
An inquiry found that bogus documents bearing forged signatures of revenue officials had been created and ex gratia recommended without proper verification.
Charges against two former special deputy collectors were proved, resulting in a 10 per cent cut in their monthly pensions for three years.
Criminal proceedings against the beneficiaries are continuing, while steps have been taken to recover `27.78 lakh.
In another complaint concerning misappropriation of Swachh Andhra funds in Shanivarapupeta of Eluru rural mandal, charges against a panchayat secretary were proved in a departmental inquiry.
The government ordered withholding of one annual grade increment with cumulative effect.
The Lokayukta closed the complaint after noting that disciplinary action had been completed.
In a complaint by Chandragiri Lambodhara of Kadapa district, the Lokayukta examined the registration of prohibited land in survey number 22/3 of Krishnapuram revenue village in violation of Section 22-A provisions.
The government initiated disciplinary action against the then joint sub-registrar and cancelled four illegal registration documents, including document No. 5411/2019.
The Lokayukta directed the revenue department to report the final outcome of the disciplinary action.
