Kurnool: A woman, allegedly facing repeated sexual harassment, publicly hit her stalker with a slipper in Kurnool district, after which angry villagers allegedly assaulted the man, shaved half his head and paraded him around the village, police said.
The accused was stalking the woman, following her wherever she went and also behaved inappropriately with her,” Pattikonda Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) B Venkata Ramaiah. As per reports, the accused, identified as Rajasekhar, had been stalking the 32-year-old woman for the past few days after she came to visit her parents at Arikera village in Kurnool district and repeatedly sought sexual favours from her. On Tuesday afternoon, the woman hit the accused with a slipper after he allegedly forcibly pulled her hand. She also informed her family members about the incident. Her family and the villagers caught hold of him, partially shaved off his head and paraded him through the village with a garland of slippers.
