Jayden Daniels suffered a dislocated left elbow on the last play of the Washington Commanders‘ Week 2 game against the Dallas Cowboys. However, two-time MVP Kurt Warner gave an example to explain how the QB could be back for the team in their next game against the Super Bowl champions, the Seattle Seahawks.
The Commanders lost the game 20-37, but they were more worried about the injury Daniels suffered on the last play of the first half when the game was still 10-17.

ESPN’s Adam Schefter confirmed that the player had dislocated his left elbow and shared that the timeline could be similar to last season when he had gone down with a similar injury.
But Super Bowl champion Warner believes Daniels could end up featuring for the Commanders next week despite the injury.
Warner had the same injury but returned the following week
Warner was one of the toughest QBs in NFL history with a unique story of his own.
He sustained injuries in his career, but one particular knock was quite similar to the Commanders’ QB.
“I suffered the exact same injury back in ’07, and I played the next week,” claimed Warner on the NFL Live.

“I braced it up, obviously, a couple of shots along the way. I had to hand my football off with my right hand.”
Warner then stated that the player could make his return sooner if he wanted to, but this isn’t the first time Daniels has sat out due to an elbow injury.
“I do believe this is something he can come back from, I don’t think this is something we worry about long term and go, ‘Should we extend this guy’ because he’s had this type of injury and had this injury twice, I believe it’s something he can play through,” added Warner.
Last season, Daniels missed four games due to a similar injury. The team is currently looking at all options, and if they and the player feel it is manageable, he could play next week.
