Week 2 of the NFL season wraps up on Monday Night Football, with the Los Angeles Rams hosting the New York Giants at SoFi Stadium. For the Week 2 finale, the Rams had a special tribute waiting in the press box.
The Rams set up a memorial in the press box to honor NBC reporter Eliana Moreno and pilot George Marciniw, who tragically died in a helicopter crash last week.

In the press box, there were framed photos of Moreno and Marciniw, along with white flowers and a place card featuring both of their names
“Forever part of the Los Angeles media family,” the place card read.

Moreno and Marciniw were covering a fatal bus crash when their helicopter experienced mechanical issues. NewsChopper 4 then fell out of the sky and caused a fiery crash on the ground, which also claimed the life of a pedestrian, 29-year-old Edy Gutierrez Mejia.
The beloved Moreno, who went by Eli in the Heli on social media and was a “die-hard Rams fan,” had gotten engaged less than one year before the accident.

“Since she was 11 years old, Eliana dreamed of becoming a news reporter. Through hard work and courage, she turned that dream into a reality,” her family wrote in a statement. “We find comfort in knowing that Eliana left this world doing the very thing she loved, pursuing the passion she carried with her since she was a little girl.
“We are infinitely proud of her and feel incredibly blessed to have had the privilege of loving her and calling her ours.”
Mariciniw was nearing retirement after more than 30 years of flying and 14,000 hours of flight time.
Our deepest condolences continue to go out to the family and friends of Moreno, Marciniw, and Mejia during this incredibly difficult and tragic time.
