The Chicago Bears have to march into a Monday Night Football showdown against the Philadelphia Eagles in just two days, and it appears their quarterback room might not be ready for the challenge.
Last week, the Bears saw starting quarterback Caleb Williams knocked out of the game due to a lower-body injury. Although the injury isn’t major and he is expected to return soon, the Bears have officially ruled Williams out for this Monday’s game against the Eagles. And while losing your starting quarterback, who led you to the postseason last year, is bad, the woes don’t stop there for Chicago.
That’s because Tyson Bagent, who is the team’s current backup and played in relief of Williams last weekend after the injury, suffered a concussion and is currently working his way through concussion protocol. But it’s not clear he’ll be back in time for Monday. Reports indicated he practiced on Saturday, but he still has a “few steps to go” before he can play.

That leaves the Bears with third-string quarterback Case Keenum as their potential starter against the Eagles, and he has reportedly been taking first-team reps in preparation. Keenum is an NFL veteran in his 15th professional season, with a career record of 30-36 as a starter, but his last start came in 2023for the Houston Texans.
