LeBron James has been known to hobnob with A-listers, but he recently revealed he has a good relationship with one in particular.
Leonardo DiCaprio.
The Lakers superstar told ESPN’s Dave McMenamin during a wide-ranging interview that he and the “Titanic” actor are actually buds.
“I got dinner with Leo at Avra in Beverly Hills, and he told us about ‘Once Upon a Time in Hollywood’ before he started filming it,” James said. “That was crazy.”
James told McMenamin he wasn’t sure how their relationship started, though he guessed it was through his business partner, Maverick Carter.
The friendship, of course, shouldn’t be all that surprising, as Dicaprio has been seen cheering on James at Crypto.com Arena dating all the way back to when the NBA’s all-time leading scorer first signed with the Lakers before the start of the 2018-19 season.
James also revealed that his DiCaprio kinship helped lead him to another one with Al Pacino.
“I just showed up [to Avra] and Leo was there,” James said. “And then Al Pacino showed up.”
James, a huge “The Godfather” fan, picked Pacino’s brain about the mob classic and acting throughout their meal, and said it was all a surreal moment for him.

“[Pacino] is one of the greatest actors of all time,” James said. “Both of them, him and Leo. And Michael Corleone is one of my favorite characters of all time, in movie history. So to be able to have that moment, it was another, ‘I’m from Akron, Ohio,’ moment.
“Like, I’m from Akron, Ohio, how am I in a room with two of the greatest that have ever been on a movie screen?”
Dicaprio hasn’t been spotted at a Lakers game since January, but with James and the rest of Los Angeles’ roster having the chance to close out the Rockets later Wednesday, perhaps a reunion goes down in a matter of hours.
