O’Shaquie Foster retained his WBC super featherweight title with a pretty clear win that the judges had a majority decision, beating Raymond Ford after a highly contentious start to their fight in Houston.
One judge had the fight even, 114-114, while the other two scored it for Foster on tallies of 116-112 and 118-110. Bad Left Hook’s two unofficial cards were both in Foster’s favor, 115-113 and 117-111.

Foster tossed Ford from the ring in the opening round, which came after a heated build-up that appears to be a lot more than just talk. Ford luckily didn’t take a hard spill and was able to return without problem.
Ford (18-2-1, 8 KO) remained quite competitive for most of the fight, but he did seem to struggle with late conditioning compared to Foster (25-3, 12 KO), who closed the show nicely and may have sealed a win over a potential draw or even loss with the 11th and 12th rounds, where he was pretty clearly the better fighter.
After the fight, Foster and Shakur Stevenson — a friend of Ford’s — argued in the ring, with Foster offering to fight Stevenson next. This would seem unlikely, as Stevenson has been fighting at 140 lbs and Foster remains at 130. But while they’re two divisions apart, but if there’s money there, it’s probably doable.

“He was a little sharper early, but I knew I was going to start picking him apart. I told him there was levels to this, and I told the son (Ford) that I was gonna get the daddy (Stevenson) next, and that’s who I want,” Foster told DAZN’s Chris Mannix.
“I’m one of the smartest people in this ring, and all I needed to do was adjust,” Foster added. “I knew what he was going to want to do, and I just took it away from him.”
Foster says he’s serious about fighting Stevenson, but open to also facing Emanuel Navarrete in a unification if that can’t get done.
“Skill-for-skill, I’m the best. If I can’t get Shakur next, hopefully me and Navarrete can do it, but y’all know who I want,” he said.

“(Shakur) knows this is why I (fought) his little man, to show him I was serious about making a fight with him, and I’m still serious right now. I’ll go to 140, or whatever he wants to do. If he wants to meet at 135, whatever he wants to do, let’s do it.”
What would you rather see O’Shaquie Foster get next, Shakur Stevenson or Emanuel Navarrete?
