Lily Phillips has finally revealed what really happened when she was shooed away by Phil Foden’s girlfriend, Rebecca Cooke, at Tommy Fury and Eddie Hall’s fight earlier this month

Lily Phillips has broken her silence on the “debacle” after her awkward meeting with Phil Foden. Earlier this month, Lily, along with a host of famous faces, flocked to the AO Arena in Manchester to watch Tommy Fury‘s fight against Eddie Hall.

Also in attendance was Manchester City ace Phil Foden and his long-term girlfriend and mother of his children, Rebecca Cooke. The pair met as children when they attended the same school.

Although Phil often shares glimpses of his life online, Rebecca remains very private. But adult content creator Lily found herself in a very awkward predicament when she met both Foden and Cooke at the arena and tried to get a selfie.

The moment went viral as Rebecca held her hand out to ‘shoo’ the adult film maker away from her man.

Addressing the situation, Lily told her 462,000 TikTok followers: “The Phil Foden debacle, I just want to clarify a few things here. I went over as a fan to ask for a photo. I didn’t know he had a missus or a girlfriend; in all honesty, I didn’t even know she was with him. When you’re at the boxing, you’re just sat next to random people most of the time.

“See, usually when you go up to a celebrity to ask for a photo, you ask them, not the people around them. That’s just from my experience. And before I could even finish my sentence, I was shooed away. See, I think it’s your prerogative if you don’t want to get a photo with me, that’s so fine.”

Lily continued: “I think there are definitely different ways to go about communicating it. And acting like I’m a piece of sh*t on your shoe because of the industry I’m in, is a little degrading I may say. I will say, a simple ‘No thank you, not today,’ probably would have sufficed. That’s just my opinion and opinions are subjective.”

But Lily’s post was met with a mixed response from TikTok users. One person said: “Why should people care what you do for a living? It’s so irritating that it’s the only industry people frown up upon but 99 percentage of people pay for it. Everyone has a choice and if you choose to be in that industry, people shouldn’t have judgement. Honestly, it really annoys me.”

“He didn’t give me a photo in London either,” claimed another person. While a third person typed: “Can’t see the harm in a quick photo tbh.” “It’s much more than a little degrading,” added another.

However, people were in agreement with Rebecca, with one person penning: “She’s guarding and protecting what’s hers. Relax.”

A second added: “She didn’t shoo you away. She waved no, and that wasn’t degrading or disrespectful. It was a clear, please don’t approach. She has a right to guard her family’s image.”

A third went on to say: “If you were a fan, surely you knew he had a misses. Be respectful.” A video that went viral online showed Lily walking over to Foden before leaning down to talk to him, with Rebecca instantly waving her arm back and forth, signalling for Lily to move on.

Although it appeared Rebecca didn’t seem keen on her partner interacting with Lily, he at the start of the clip appeared willing to engage in conversation.
