Little Mix star Jade Thirlwall was forced to miss some of her bandmate’s wedding over the weekend. Perrie Edwards tied the knot with footballer Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain over the weekend in Portugal in a stunning ceremony where she wowed in three dresses and danced with her new husband, family and friends.
It has now been revealed that Jade did attend the wedding as did Leigh-Anne Pinnock. However, Jade had to leave early owing to a prior commitment – as she was performing at a festival.
Following the glitzy showbiz wedding, Jade headed to Primavera Sound in Porto, just over 300 miles away to perform a set whilst Leigh-Anne stayed and danced with her bandmate.
“We were absolutely going off to En Vogue… we still remembered all of our harmonies and the choreography!” Perrie recalled of her dancing alongside her fellow Little Mix star.
Perrie and Alex wanted an “intimate” wedding despite their fame. A source said: “Perrie and Alex’s wedding day could not have been more special. It was intimate and emotional. She looked absolutely radiant and Alex didn’t stop smiling. It was a truly beautiful day.”
However, one person who wasn’t at the wedding was Jesy Nelson, who Perrie admitted she has cut out her life.
Speaking to Jamie Laing on his Great Company podcast last week, she explained: “What annoys me is the most, and again I have to be careful how I say this as I don’t want to seem like a b**** but for me what upsets me the most is when situations like this happen and the other person doesn’t take any accountability, that boils my blood!
“I am not blaming everything on you, I am not saying that she’s this f****** monster and everything was her thought blah, blah, blah but take some accountability for your actions and realise you were difficult, you did have difficult moments.”
When asked if there was a possibility they might be in each other’s lives again, Perrie insisted it wouldn’t happen.
“If I am being completely transparent part of me wanted to until the documentary and then part of me withdraw again. This is the thing I am not a horrible person, I haven’t got a band bone in my body but I can cut you off. I can cut you out of my life like that, if you upset me and hurt me in a way there’s not really any going back,” she said.
