France will hope to underline their World Cup credentials once again tonight when they take on Iraq in Philadelphia.

Captain Kylian Mbappe’s two goals helped Les Bleus to a 3-1 win over Senegal in their opener and they are heavy favourites to maintain their 100% record and secure a place in the round of 32.

Iraq showed moments of promise in their opening game but were eventually beaten 4-1 by Norway, for whom Erling Haaland scored twice.

Arsenal‘s France centre-half William Saliba is expecting a difficult game against a team that had to come through the Play-Off Tournament to qualify.

“We’ve watched some of the videos from their game against Norway and I think they have a good team,” he said. “It won’t be easy, even if people think that because we’re playing Iraq we’ll automatically get the three points.”
