Education Minister Nara Lokesh has challenged YSR Congress president YS Jagan Mohan Reddy to participate in an open debate on the allegations of irregularities in the DSC and on the liquor and land scams during the YSR Congress rule.
Lokesh, who is also the Telugu Desam working president, held a meeting with the party activists from Penamaluru assembly constituency in Krishna district at Penamaluru, near here, on Monday.
“I am ready for a debate on allegations of lapses in recruitment of teachers through DSC and also on liquor and land scams,” he said, adding that the TDP government filled up two lakh teacher posts in the state while the YSR Congress failed to fill up a single teacher post.
He said that when they conducted the DSC test in a transparent manner by implementing both the vertical and horizontal reservation in 150 days, the YSR Congress tried to stall the process by filing 150 cases in the court. “The court struck off those cases, clearing the way for recruitment of teachers.”
Alleging that the YSR Congress was encouraging violence, its leaders are using abusive language, murdering the uncle of Jagan Reddy and even driving away Jagan’s mother and sister from home, “our party, the Telugu Desam, is committed to the ideology of development and welfare,” he asserted.
Lokesh alleged that Pulivendula MLA Jagan Reddy was suffering from a ‘Credit Chori Disorder’ as “he keeps claiming credit to bring in major industries like ArcelorMittal, Google, Royal Enfield to state, when fact is that the present government did it.”
Lokesh asked the party leaders to download the app called ‘MyTDP’ where four lakh leaders were enrolled in it so that they could know as to what they were doing with the help of technology.
He made an inspection of the Zilla Parishad High School at Punadipadu village of Kankipadu mandal in Krishna district and enquired about the amenities and quality of education being offered.
