Love Is Blind UK couple Sammy and Jonathan’s love story wasn’t shown to Netflix viewers
A Love Is Blind UK couple has ended their engagement just over a year after falling in love on the dating experiment.
Season 3 of the Netflix show led to record-breaking 14 engagements, but only six love stories were shown to viewers at home. Entrepreneur Sammy Harper and tech recruiter Jonathan Harrold were one of the ‘unseen’ couples who connected in the pods and got engaged on the show.
And they went on to explore their romance off-screen, reaching major milestones including meeting each other’s families and travelling together. Sammy later started sharing their story on social media, revealing that they remained engaged after leaving the show.
However, the Netflix star has now confirmed they have split up. In a candid Instagram video with clips from the last year, Sammy admitted: “I genuinely cannot believe what I’m about to say.”
She continued: “A plot twist absolutely no one saw coming, including me. Just over a year ago, I went on Love Is Blind season three, fell in love with a man I’d never seen and got engaged through a wall. And somehow, that became my real life.
“Until this week, because my engagement is officially over. I got dumped by text message. Yeah, a f**** text message. Didn’t have that one on the 2026 bingo card.”
Sammy was based in Manchester before the show, while Jonathan lived in Hertfordshire, but they had plans to move in together later this year.
The 34-year-old added: “I was supposed to be moving in with my fiancé in less than two weeks. I was packing up my life, moving across the country. I thought I knew what the next chapter looked like. And now I’m single, I don’t know where I’m going to live, I’m restarting at 34. And guys, I’m f**** embarrassed.” Jonathan has yet to publicly address the split.

It comes just two months after Sammy started a social media series called Love Is Blind Diaries: The Unseen Couple, which dives into her experience since meeting her now-ex fiancé. She previously revealed the heart-breaking news that the pair had suffered a silent miscarriage in June.
“We lost our baby to a silent miscarriage and honestly, we really struggled,” she shared. “Grieving whilst still living on opposite sides of the country was one of the hardest things we’ve had to face together.”
