One Love Island couple has announced just days after the final they they are set to move in together with plans for one of them to move countries

Love Island stars Finley Maddock and Ellie Chadwick have announced that they are planning to move in together, despite having a rather bumpy ride while appearing in Love Island together.

Ellie was a Love Island favourite for many viewers while appearing in the show and may have even been a shoo in for winning the competition, but left the competition after Finley, the man she’d been getting to know in the show, was evicted by their fellow islanders.

But while things with the couple may have been a little rocky when they left the show, it seems that things are most certainly looking up now, as they have announced that they are planning to move in together, with Ellie leaving Scotland for London.

Speaking on Joe Baggs’ Not My Bagg podcast, Finley said: “We touched on this early on. We had a discussion, it’s pointless getting to know someone for however many weeks we did if you’re not going to come to an agreement on where you to.

“So, we made an agreement and… she’s coming to London.”

Ellie added: “I’m moving first to London. I don’t know exactly when, but that is the case.”

The decision seems relatively fresh as when the couple spoke to Capital FM Radio, they revealed they had discussed while still on the show, bit had yet to tell Ellie’s family.

Finley said: “So the distance topic, this is something we covered early on we knew the distance, so we had to cover it early on otherwise all them weeks would have been pointless. So yeah we discussed [Ellie] moving to London.”

Ellie then chipped in: “You’re welcome mum, I’m just letting you know now.” She also added that the timeline for this is still “TBC” so fans shouldn’t hold their breath just yet.

The couple also added that they always planned to move from their home countries, with Finley originally coming from Wales.

“I feel like Wales and Scotland are very similar and I think we both feel the same like, it’s lovely there but there’s not a lot going on… It’s nice to go back there,” he said.

Ellie agreed, saying: “It’s nice to have it as your home, Scotland and Wales will forever be our homes but I always knew I was never going to stay there [in Scotland].”

When the couple left the villa, they had fallen out after Finley decided to get to know bombshell Elicia Bailey. But Ellie chose to leave when Finley was evicted, telling her fellow islanders there was no way she would meet anyone who she would connect with in the same way as Finley.

And Ellie isn’t the only Islander planning to move country after the show, with former contestant Lola announcing she’d be moving to Ireland to be with her boyfriend who she met on the show, Sean.
