Love Island USA’s Tierra Davis Allegedly Hit Woman With Brass Knuckles For Getting Close With Ex-BF

Love Island USA season 8‘s bombshell, Tierra ‘Titi’ Davis, has sparked backlash from fans for her possessive behaviour in the villa, especially during Casa Amor, when she visibly became upset and argued with KC Chandler when he expressed a desire to explore other connections. Amid this, an old legal dispute from her teenage years has put the reality star under renewed scrutiny.

Tierra accused of assaulting teen over ex-boyfriend

Court documents from 2018, obtained by E! News, show that Tierra was accused of assaulting another teenage girl and later threatening to shoot her. The allegations were made in civil restraining order filings. The allegations were made by a woman named Shayla Woodard, who was 16 when the incident happened. 

In the October 2018 court documents, Woodard mentioned that she didn’t personally know Davis but had mutual friends. Regardless, she allegedly went on to “verbally assault her”, only to return days later. The reality TV star, who was 17 at that time, allegedly confronted her over her friendship with her former boyfriend. 

Woodard claimed that Davis followed her to Culver City Metro Station, where she pepper-sprayed her and repeatedly struck her in the face, arms, and upper body. In a restraining order request that followed, the complainant mentioned that Davis used brass knuckles during the assault.

Alleged threats after the incident

Woodard also claimed Davis repeatedly contacted her through calls, text messages, and social media after the incident, and even allegedly threatened to shoot her. In the documents, she reportedly wrote in her second request from November 2018:

“She threatened to shoot me with a gun the next time she saw me. I live with my mom and my baby brother, and that is who I am with most often. They could be struck with a stray bullet in the line of fire.” 

The accuser claimed that the continued messages affected her ability to concentrate at school. Woodard told the court she feared not only for her own safety but also for her mother and younger brother, believing they could be harmed if the alleged threats were carried out. She wrote:

“Even though the police were called and I filled out a report, she kept calling, texting, sending Instagram and Snapchat messages, some during school hours. I could not concentrate.”

What happened in court?

While a judge initially granted a temporary restraining order against Tierra Davis, the case was eventually dismissed after Woodard failed to appear for the scheduled hearing. Tierra was ordered to stay 100 feet away from the teen in the temporary restraining order.

The court didn’t proceed with the petition after it found insufficient grounds to issue a permanent restraining order. While the dismissal did not establish that the alleged events had not occurred, the judge wrote that the decision was made after “having found no basis for the issuance of a permanent restraining order.”

Will Tierra Davis be fired from Love Island USA 8?

The allegations have resurfaced amid growing online discussion surrounding Davis’ conduct on Love Island USA Season 8. However, neither Peacock nor representatives for the reality star have publicly responded to the resurfaced court filings. Considering it was an incident from her formative years when she was just a teen, it’s less likely that the incident would have any effect on Tirra’s current stint on the island.

Tierra’s accuser, who found out about her being on Love Island, has also reported that she has no ill feelings towards her and wishes her the best. It should also be noted that despite the filing, the reality star was never criminally convicted in connection with the incident.
