Curtis Pritchard spent weeks training for the London Marathon alongside his brother, AJ, but unfortunately does not appear to have completed the run for charity
Love Island star Curtis Pritchard has failed to complete the London Marathon. The reality star, 30, who has made a career out of appearing on various formats of the ITV2 dating show, joined co-stars Lauren Wood and Dejon Noel-Williams at Blackheath for the kickoff.
But whilst his fellow runners, who also found fame on the programme, both completed the race, there is a mystery surrounding just why Curtis did not cross the finish line.
A source said: “There was much fanfare over the Love Islanders taking part in the marathon – especially Curtis, who shared so much of his training on social media.”
The source added to The Sun: “But while Lauren and Dejon both formally finished, Curtis hasn’t officially finished the race – and it ended four days ago. Other runners have posted online claiming they saw him but no one knows why he didn’t finish.”
The official results page for the race shows no recorded finish time for Curtis, even though the event took place days ago. The Mirror has contacted Curtis’s representative for comment.
Meanwhile, his co-stars achieved impressive times during their gruelling 26.2-mile run through the city. Lauren Wood, in particular, made headlines after completing the marathon in a time of 04:33:32, making her the fastest known Love Island contestant to finish the race.
Close behind her was fellow 2025 contestant Dejon Noel-Williams, who crossed the finish line with a time of 4:56:11. Curtis’ brother, AJ Pritchard, also took part in the marathon and completed the course with a time of 5:15:27.
Ahead of the big day, Curtis and AJ both documented their preparations for the physical challenge online. The brothers shared clips of their training runs and encouraged fans to donate to charity.
The night before the marathon, AJ posted videos of the pair gearing up for the run, while Curtis shared footage of himself getting a haircut in preparation for race day.
Curtis has remained silent about the run itself since the marathon ended. All he posted online that day was a light-hearted comedy video where he pretended to seek financial advice.
Meanwhile, Lauren and Dejon were seen celebrating after completing the course, with friends and family cheering them on at the finish area.
A friend of Lauren’s shared that she had carefully prepared for the race, with the hot summer weather in mind. They said: “Lauren was really aware of the heat going into the race, especially as it was her first marathon, so she made sure to pace herself and stay on top of her hydration from the start.
“She was never going to give up or pull out because this has been a dream for her to complete, and she wanted to do Dog’s Trust proud, which she absolutely did.”
After finishing the race, Lauren celebrated with friends including fellow Islanders Megan Moore and Jessica Harding. The Sun’s source added: “Lauren said the atmosphere was incredible and that the amazing crowds really got her through each mile.
“Lauren has spoken openly about how running has helped her, especially in the last year, and to be able to challenge and prove to herself she can do these marathons but also raise money for causes so close to her heart means the world to her.”
