Love Island star Samie Elishi gave fans a glimpse of her blossoming baby bump as she and boyfriend Tyrique Hyde made an appearance on the red carpet at the Daily Mirror Pride of Britain Awards

Just hours after sharing the news that she was pregnant, Samie Elishi gave fans a glimpse of her baby bump. The former Love Island star, 26, and her boyfriend, Tyrique Hyde, 27, made an appearance on the red carpet at the Daily Mirror Pride of Britain Awards this evening.

The reality star looked sensational as she rocked a satin halter-neck dress, which perfectly hugged her blossoming baby bump. Samie completed her look with a pair of open-toed heels and silver jewellery.

Samie’s pink-toned make-up radiated as she posed for pictures, placing her hand on her blossoming bump. Meanwhile, Tyrique looked extremely smart in a grey suit as he wrapped his arms around his girlfriend’s waist and held her hand.

Earlier today, the couple shared the news that they are expecting their first child. In the video shared on Instagram, Samie and Tyrique were seen giggling in excitement as they saw the ultrasound of their child for the first time. Tyrique looked as if he could hardly believe it as he held the scan images in his hands.

Samie captioned her upload with a simple white heart. While Tyrique penned: “Don’t make a scene. Can’t wait for this next chapter. Love you @samieelishi.” The couple starred on different seasons of Love Island in the same year, with Samie appearing on the winter version in 2023, which was won by Kai Fagan and Sanam Harrinanan, and Tyrique on the summer version, during which he was coupled up with Ella Thomas.

Tyrique returned for the spin-off series Love Island Games in 2025, but did not find love. Samie appeared on a back-to-back series on All Stars, winning this year’s season with Ciaran Davies. Just three weeks later, the pair split and Tyrique, who had been commentating on the season on his Twitch channel, reached out to Samie.

Tyrique made no secret of his feelings for Samie when she was in the villa getting to know Ciaran, and managed to charm her since she left the show. The couple were spotted on a date together in March, and Tyrique went on to make an appearance on a live stream alongside former co-star Carrington Rodriguez, who pressed him for details on the situation.

Taking to the stage at the awards, Daily Mirror Editor in Chief Chloe Hubbard praised tonight’s winners, declaring: “We are honoured that they are here with us sharing their remarkable stories.”

Thanking P&O Cruises and ITV for their ongoing partnership, Hubbard also had some warm words for tonight’s hosts, stating: “It simply wouldn’t be Pride of Britain with our brilliant hosts Carol Vorderman and Ashley Banjo.”

Taking a moment to recognise the “huge undertaking” that went into this event, Hubbard reflected on the efforts Mirror staff have poured into making Pride of Britain 2026 a memorable evening.

She said: “Our journalists really get to know the people you will meet tonight.” Most importantly, Hubbard commended the “courage, compassion, sacrifice and strength” of this year’s winners, reflecting: “Many of those you’ll meet tonight do not seek the limelight. They are ordinary people.”

She went on to describe how humble some winners had been when their bravery was recognised, some modestly arguing, “Surely there must be someone better than me.”

Hubbard added: “I hope in turn they inspire all of us to do a bit better.” In a world full of negativity, the Mirror’s Pride of Britain is a “celebration of our country,” says Prime Minister Andy Burnham, who adds: “Every year, this special moment in the national calendar reminds us that the people of this country haven’t changed. They are still as great as they always were.”
