Hyderabad:A car caught fire near the APPA Junction under Narsingi police limits on Saturday evening, but two occupants escaped unharmed after stepping out in time. The vehicle was completely gutted and traffic slowed on the stretch.
The incident took place near the rotary opposite the police academy when the car travelling from Moinabad caught fire and came to a halt. People nearby gathered as the blaze intensified, while traffic built up along the Moinabad–TGPA route and the adjoining service road.
Cyberabad traffic police took to X to write that the car “caught fire near the rotary and was completely burnt,” adding that personnel reached the spot and, along with the fire department, brought the situation under control. The vehicle was later moved aside to clear the road. Traffic movement returned to normal after a brief disruption, officials said. Police have begun an investigation to ascertain what led to the fire.
