Mac Jones has opened up about his dating life with the help of his teammate George Kittle and the tight end’s wife Claire.
While on the latest episode of the couple’s podcast “The Kittle Things,” the backup 49ers quarterback answered some burning questions about his dating preferences, including a big food dealbreaker.
When asked about his biggest green flag, Jones said he is “attracted to smart, smart, ladies.”
Claire followed up with asking if the 28-year-old has any immediate dating deal breakers.
“Just don’t go to a seafood spot with me,” Jones quickly said.
“Oh, yeah, I forgot you’re allergic to everything,” George said before Claire added, “Oh, yes.”
“I’m not allergic to anthing, I just don’t like it,” Jones countered.
“You’re the guy who would eat chicken tenders at a seafood restaurant,” Georgie quipped back.
“Exactly, I’m like where’s the kid’s menu at? That’s just who I am,” Jones admitted.
Jones is single after splitting from ex-girlfriend Sophie Scott earlier this year.
The two were dating since attending the University of Alabama together in 2019, and moved to Boston after Jones was selected by the Patriots in the first round of the 2021 NFL Draft.
Two out of his three years were losing seasons with the Patriots, and Jones was eventually shipped off the Jacksonville in 2024 to back up Trevor Lawrence.
Scott supported Jones in Florida, where he played 10 games including seven starts for the Jaguars.
In 2025, Jones signed a two-year $7 million deal with the 49ers and is set to be a free agent after this season.
Per her Instagram account, Scott is based in Nashville.
San Francisco teammate Kyle Juszczuk previously called Jones “a ladies man” while he was a guest on Peter Schrager’s “Big Day” podcast last month.
“I get so many DMs from girls asking to be hooked up with Mac,” he went on. “Usually, I’ve had multiple be like, ‘Think about, Kristin and I could be good friends, we could be couple friends. Them and Mac, me and Kristin. It’s unbelievable, the lengths these women have gone to get in touch with him.”
The 49ers (6-1) are heading into a bye week after suffering a tough, wake-up call defeat Sunday.

Jones briefly came in for Brock Purdy during their Week 2 win over the Dolphins, logging eight snaps.
In Week 9, the Niners will host the Raiders before traveling to Dallas the following week.
