Home Alone star Macaulay Culkin has revealed his one regret when it comes to his relationship with actress Brenda Song. The duo, who share kids Dakota, five, and Carson, three, have been celebrating an impressive milestone.
And to mark their nine-year anniversary, the actor shared a sweet post about their coupling up – confirming the one thing he would have changed. Macaulay posted the gushing comment on Instagram, saying: “Today marks a very special day for me.”
He went on: “It’s been 9 years since my life changed forever. It’s amazing to think that 1 in every 5 days I’ve been alive I have had the honour of waking up next to the love of my life.”
But he then revealed his sole regret. “My only regret is that we haven’t had more time together,” he confessed. “Thank you for my everything.”
The star initially the Disney Channel veteran in 2013. They later became romantically involved after costarring in Seth Green’s 2019 indie film Changeland.
For his post, Macauley shared a snap of the pair cuddling up in matching pale pink outfits. And his followers were quick to share sweet messages on the comments section.
Among them was DeMarko, who joked: “Who would’ve thought Kevin Mccallister and London Tipton would make the best couple.”
Walton Goggins also wrote: “Good man… wise man. A big milestone y’all.” Paris Hilton was among those clicking the like button on the post.
Brenda shared her own sweet post, uploading a polaroid of the pair kissing. She captioned it:”Happy 9 year anniversary @culkamania!
“As I sit here at this airport, just having wrapped on set and about to fly home to see you and our babies- I can’t help but be a little sentimental and reminisce at how fast 9 years can fly by when I get to enjoy life with you.
“My life burst into color when you walked into it. I will never know what I did to deserve you and this life that we lead, but I am forever grateful. I truly can’t imagine doing this whole life thing without you. It’s not always easy but it’s always worth it.”
She ended by saying: “I love you more and more each day.” And she joked: “You’re stuck with me.”
Last year, Macaulay revealed the funny response his kids have to his iconic role in Home Alone.The child star said in November that his kids have absolutely “no idea” that it is him playing Kevin in the iconic film series despite rewatching the holiday classic.
The first Home Alone film came out in 1990. And Macauley admitted he and his sons Dakota and Carson often watch the films together.
PEOPLE reported that he said at the time: “They have no idea that I’m Kevin. They’re only three and four years old.” But the actor admitted that he wants “to keep up that illusion as long as possible.”
