At the trailer launch of her new movie, Madhuri Dixit Nene made a case for painterly drapes in The Silk Story’s Lennon watercolour chiffon sari. The sari moved through shades of blush pink, lime green and ivory, creating a brushed effect across the fabric.

The fluid pallu added movement, while floral motifs across the drape introduced a spring-ready palette. Paired with a deep U-back blouse in matching tones, the ensemble also featured tassel tie-up detailing at the back.

Styled by Sukriti Grover, her sari was paired with Mirari Jewel’s Mogra Chandelier Earrings and stacked white and pink bangles on one hand. Sheetal F Khan styled Madhuri Dixit’s hair in loose waves with a floral accessory pinned at the back, while Harshal Jariwala added rose-toned, glowing makeup with kohl-lined eyes and a pink lip.

From Vogue’s fashion desk:

“Madhuri Dixit Nene is a breath of fresh summer air in this satin sari. To make this your own, work with a pop coloured sari, be it a more muted neon green or pink as she has or a canary yellow. Pair this with a sleeveless blouse, a crystal coloured floral earring and ring. Make up should be dewey and you are good to go,” says Divya Balakrishnan, Vogue India fashion associate.
