Malik Nabers has never been shy about asking for the ball.
He wants targets in the first quarter to get his juices flowing. He wants them in the fourth quarter to make difference-making plays. He wants them against the best cornerbacks to prove he is the best receiver. He wants as many as he can get because he believes — rightfully so — that the ball in his hand gives the Giants a better chance to win.
And so the catch-hungry Nabers being held to six receptions for 27 yards — albeit on 10 targets — since Jameis Winston replaced an injured Jaxson Dart seven touchdown-less quarters ago seems like something that needs to change.
“The win is definitely more important than everybody’s stats,” Nabers told The Post.
