HYDERABAD: A local court in Malkajgiri has granted the Petbasheerabad police three days of custody to interrogate Bandi Bhagirath in connection with a Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) case.
While the investigating police team had filed a petition seeking a seven-day custody period for a detailed interrogation, the court permitted only three days.
Bandi Bhagirath was arrested on May 16, 2026, and is currently lodged in the Cherlapally Central Jail as a remand prisoner. Police are expected to officially take him into custody from the jail premises to commence their investigation.
