Tirupati: BRS MLA Mallareddy visited the Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD) on Friday and offered prayers at the temple.
Speaking to the media after the darshan, Mallareddy said that over the past 30 years, he has established several schools, medical colleges, and engineering colleges in Telangana. He claimed that his institutions have produced world-class doctors, engineers, and pharmacists.
He said he had long wanted to establish an educational institution in Tirupati. Recalling his birthday prayers, Mallareddy said he had prayed for the opportunity to set up a college in the temple town. He added that soon after, he acquired land, constructed the college, and renovated the campus.
Mallareddy said he was happy that a Telangana-based education group was establishing a university in Andhra Pradesh to benefit students from Andhra Pradesh and Rayalaseema. He said the institution is located near Renigunta.
He further stated that the Centre has issued an approval letter for the establishment of the Mallareddy Deemed University.
