A man is dead and two others are in life-threatening condition after a suspicious house fire south of Brisbane overnight.
Emergency teams were called to the burning house on Sickle Avenue at Hope Island about 11.45pm on Tuesday.
A 38-year-old man was found dead inside the home.
Two other men – a 44-year-old and an 84-year-old – suffered life-threatening burns, and were taken to the Royal Brisbane and Women’s Hospital.
A 59-year-old woman was also injured and taken to the same hospital, while another 38-year-old man escaped and was uninjured.
Police believe the fire was suspicious.
Investigations at the scene were ongoing, with officers calling for anyone who witnessed the fire or had further information to come forward.
