Tirupati: A brutal murder over a land dispute has created tension in Chandragiri constituency’s Tirupati rural mandal after a man was allegedly killed in Adapareddypalli village.
Police said Amarnath Reddy was attacked and his throat was slit, leading to his death on the spot. Following the incident, his family members lodged a complaint with the police, who registered a case and launched an investigation.
The accused has been identified as Bommi Rahul Reddy. Police teams reached the village to arrest him, but he is believed to have fled along with his family before they arrived. Search operations are currently underway to trace him.
Anger erupted after the murder, with relatives of the deceased allegedly setting fire to the accused’s house and his motorcycle, further escalating tensions in the village.
Police from M.R. Palli station have been deployed to the area to monitor the situation and prevent further violence. Authorities said the situation is under control and investigation is in progress.
