Marine Constable Rescues Teen From Drowning At Chirala Beach

Bapatla: A 17-year-old boy was rescued from drowning at Vodarevu Beach on Sunday by Andhra Marine Police after he was swept into the choppy waters by a massive wave. The incident occurred about 6 km from Chirala in the Bapatla district of Andhra Pradesh.

Akhilesh was pulled out to sea while he was swimming at the beach. Karamchedu Sub-Inspector immediately alerted the Marine Police team upon noticing the crisis. Showing immense courage, Marine Constable Edukondalu and local swimmers dove into the rough waters. They reached the teen and brought him safely to shore using a lifebuoy.

The team administered timely CPR to the unconscious youth on the beach before shifting him to the Government Hospital in Chirala. His condition is now said to be stable.

State DGP Harish Kumar Gupta commended the Marine Police and Bapatla Police team for risking their lives to save the citizen.
