Hyderabad: The city witnessed a disturbing case of animal cruelty after dozens of Siberian Husky dogs were found abandoned on the Shankarpally–Patancheru road on Tuesday, April 28.
The incident came to light following an emergency alert about the animals’ critical condition, prompting swift rescue efforts by Aasra Foundation and Swan NGO. Initial reports suggested that nearly 40 Huskies had been left in a truck by unidentified individuals.
By the time rescuers arrived, several dogs had been taken away by passersby, while others had fled into nearby forested areas in search of a cooler environment. One dog was found dead at the scene. Rescue teams managed to save six dogs, which were later shifted to an NGO facility for treatment and care.
