Maura Higgins, the Love Islander taking the US by storm, has revealed her beauty secrets, opening up on exactly what work she’s had done and her plans for more
Maura Higgins, the former Love Islander continuing to take the US by storm, has revealed her beauty secrets, opening up on exactly what cosmetic work she has and hasn’t had done – and her plans for more.
Irish beauty Maura, 35, who rose to fame in 2019 on Love Island, has been building her presence Stateside in recent times, not least with her stint on US Traitors and surprise red carpet appearances at the likes of the Golden Globes.
Now, in a new interview with Allure, she has blasted one particular beauty myth about her sculpted cheekbones, saying, “The amount of times I’ve read that I’ve had cheek filler… I have never in my life had cheek filler. I get Botox, however I don’t do filler.’
Explaining that she wouldn’t hide it if she did get work done, she added: “When I need a facelift, best believe I’m going to get a facelift, I want to go to Kris Jenner’s because that was incredible.”
It’s no wonder that Maura has Kris’s surgeon in mind, should the need for more major ‘work’ arise. The matriarch of the Kardashian clan had jaws dropping across Hollywood when she unveiled a strikingly youthful appearance last May. Her representative later confirmed that the incredibly subtle facelift was the work of Dr Steven M. Levine.
Kris, who turned 70 with a star-studded Bond-themed bash last November, told Vogue Arabia last August 2025, that it was her version of “aging gracefully” and a “refresh” of a previous procedure done in 2011. She explained, “Just because you get older, it doesn’t mean you should give up on yourself… I want to be the best version of myself”.
Meanwhile, Maura looks set to earn a whopping £5million after cracking the US market, with top shows and beauty brands reportedly flocking to sign her up. A source claimed to the Sun, ‘Maura may have missed out on the cash prize on The Traitors but that’s small change compared to what’s coming her way.
‘Shows and brands in the US are lining up for a piece of Maura and she’s got more opportunities than time right now. It’s an exciting place to be.’
Another source said: ‘She’s in talks to become the face of one of the biggest cosmetic brands in the US in a deal that will be at least seven-figures.’
Elsewhere, there have been reporters that a fly-on-the-wall series documenting Maura’s rise in America could be on the horizon, with the stunning brunette reportedly already in talks with TV bosses. She could also be carving out a whole new career in acting, after making her on-screen debut in Irish comedy The Spin, which came out in February – with Pussycat Dolls star Kimberly Wyatt also part of the ensemble cast.
It’s rumoured, as well as her being lined up for the next season of The Bachelorette following its abrupt recent cancellation after domestic abuse allegations, that the star is in talks for a role in a project with Disney. And according to a source in the Sun, she has been excitedly telling friends about it.
They said: ‘Maura is keeping her cards close to her chest but she couldn’t help but tell pals she’s reading scripts for Disney. Everyone – including Maura – is stunned at how well her career in the US is going. This is just the beginning.”
