Love Island host Maya Jama braved the Miami heat to see the Three Lions secure their spot in the World Cup semi-finals as she joined forces with Olivia Stones who is married to defender John Stones

Love Island host Maya Jama was among the famous faces cheering England on as the Three Lions booked their place in the World Cup semi-finals with a dramatic 2-1 victory over Norway.

The Love Island host, 31, was spotted in the stands at Miami Stadium on Saturday night with Olivia Stones, wife of Manchester City ace, John Stones. The pair cheered on Thomas Tuchel’s side as they secured their place in the last four thanks to Jude Bellingham’s match-winning brace.

TV cameras captured Maya celebrating England’s victory from the crowd despite soaring temperatures, with reports suggesting it felt as hot as 42C inside the stadium.

The presenter was seated alongside the wife of England defender John Stones as she enjoyed a brief break from filming the current series of Love Island.

Earlier this week, Maya had hinted she would be taking in some World Cup action while in the United States during an appearance on The Rest Is Football on Netflix.

She also joked that she wasn’t entirely sure how she had managed to fit the trip into her busy Love Island schedule, with the ITV2 dating show continuing until later this month.

Maya’s appearance at the match comes just weeks after she addressed her split from Manchester City and Portugal defender Ruben Dias.

The pair dated for around 18 months before going their separate ways earlier this year.

Speaking candidly about the break-up, Maya told fans: “Truth is even when I tried to keep my relationships private we get photographed anyway.

“I’m an all or nothing girl, I don’t casually date, so yes, I will love loudly or not at all and if it ends it ends.

“I decided a long time ago not to base personal life decisions on public opinions.”

England’s victory over Norway sees Tuchel’s side progress to the World Cup semi-finals, where they will continue their bid to lift the trophy.
