Tim Tszyu just earned the biggest win of his career, beating former unified welterweight champion Errol Spence Jr. by unanimous decision in Sydney. His historic performance on July 26, 2026, has also led the American boxing star to declare his retirement.

As Tszyu celebrates another milestone inside the ring, the attention has turned to the woman who has stood by him through the highs and lows of his career: his wife, Aleksandra Constantine.

Who is Tim Tszyu’s wife Aleksandra Constantine?

Aleksandra Constantine has been married to Tim Tszyu since 2016 after the couple met in a boxing class. Born and raised in Sydney, Aleksandra graduated in finance from the University of Technology Sydney before building a career in property law. She is fluent in English, Macedonian, and French. Despite keeping a relatively low profile, Aleksandra has become a familiar face ringside at Tszyu’s biggest fights.

The couple’s relationship began with a simple first date that Aleksandra once fondly recalled. “We played arcade games at Timezone, then had a late meal at Cosmopolitan CafĂ© in Double Bay,” she shared in an earlier interview.

Eventually, their romance culminated in an extravagant Sydney wedding attended by around 120 guests, with Tim and his brother Nikita dressed in Armani suits while Aleksandra wore a custom Steve Khalil gown.

For someone like Tim Tszyu, who used to live and breathe boxing, he admitted that meeting Aleksandra completely changed his outlook on life. During a conversation on the No Limit podcast, the Australian boxer said, “Boxing can’t compete with my missus,” adding that “I love her to death, and that’s my number one priority right now.”

He added that for most of his life, boxing came before everything else. However, that outlook changed after he met Aleksandra and decided to build a family with her. Tim said:

“I always put boxing as number one… boxing, boxing, boxing. You come back, and you start to think, you know what, family is actually number one.”

Aleksandra echoed those emotions before their wedding, joking that planning a marriage was far less stressful than watching her husband fight. “In terms of vibes and nerves, a wedding is a walk in the park compared to a fight,” she said.

Aleksandra feared Tim Tszyu would die after Sebastian Fundora fight

One of the darkest moments in Tszyu’s career came during his bloody world title defeat to Sebastian Fundora in 2024, when a severe cut left him covered in blood throughout the contest. Reflecting on that night in Tszyu’s recently released documentary, Aleksandra did not hold back while criticizing those around the boxer. The emotional ordeal remains one of the toughest memories of Tszyu’s boxing career.

“No one really took responsibility for the outcome of Fundora one,” she said. “I mean, Tim could’ve died. He almost went into cardiac arrest. They went through 55 towels because of the blood. He had blood gushing down him, and I’m thinking, ‘This is f***ed.'”

She also remembered seeing her husband after the fight. “I remember in the dressing room after, he was just bawling his eyes out in the shower. He had blood gushing down.”

Despite all setbacks, it was actually Aleksandra who had convinced Tim Tszyu not to retire. Following consecutive defeats to Fundora and Bakhram Murtazaliev, Tszyu admitted he considered walking away from boxing altogether. Caught off guard, she immediately urged him to reconsider. She recalled in the documentary:

“Tim called me while he was in camp in Miami and said, ‘That’s it, I’m retiring… I was thinking, ‘Retiring? Why are you retiring? Are you crazy? I know things aren’t great at the moment, but we’ll get through it.’ He said, ‘I can’t deal with a problem every day.’ There were so many things that were happening that weren’t being handled correctly.”

She explained that a series of issues behind the scenes had taken a mental toll on the former world champion. The experience eventually led Tszyu to overhaul his team, bringing in Australian boxing great Jeff Fenech as he looked to rebuild his career. Finally, that decision appears to have paid off.

On Saturday night, Tszyu outboxed former unified welterweight champion Errol Spence Jr., earning a unanimous decision victory in what many are calling the biggest win of his career. The Australian repeatedly landed clean right hands as Spence struggled to cope with Tszyu’s size and pressure over 12 rounds. Following the defeat, Spence confirmed he was retiring from professional boxing. The boxer proudly said, “For sure, man, this is the end of the road for me. I’ve got my faculties intact.”

As the boxing star retires from boxing on a high note, he has his priorities straight: “My money is good… I’ve got a beautiful family.”
