Meghan Markle has sparked concern as people have noticed she’s seemed to have “disappeared” from Prince Harry’s side, even though she’s set to make a TV comeback soon. The matter has been brought to people’s attention as Prince Harry attended another major event this week, but Meghan Markle was not in sight.
The topic has gone viral on X after eagle-eyed people noticed he attended the TIME100 Sports event in New York, US, on Thursday (July 16) without his wife. The Duke of Sussex, 41, made an appearance at the red carpet event on Thursday, July 16, but people were drawn to one thing – he appeared to attend alone, despite being in good spirits.
It comes after it was reported Harry and Meghan met with King Charles recently. When in the UK, they took the time to visit the King and Queen.
A social media user wrote: “Oh look, Harry was spotted at the TIME100 Sports event, but without Meghan. It’s interesting [because] she wasn’t there to support for his court case.
“She just disappears when the spotlight is on Harry, but we can’t support him or let him shine when it’s his time. Interesting.”
In the footage, Harry is seen mingling at the event on his own, which caused people to ask a few questions. While Meghan could have simply had plans elsewhere, it still stimulated a lot of conversation.
One person said: “Harry looks like a complete idiot with his bodyguard glued to him INSIDE the venue. No one else behaves like that, not even the King.”
Another added: “She’s preparing for her Emmy.” A third replied: “Hmmm.”
Meanwhile, a fourth commented: “Hmm, so Prince Harry has popped up back in the US, sans Meghan Markle again. I’m telling you, something’s afoot with those two.”
One more also noted: “When was the last time they were seen together? April at Ted’s party?”
However, it’s said Meghan was present when Harry visited the King and Queen earlier this month. It’s reported he reunited with his father, King Charles, and stepmother, Queen Camilla, at Highgrove House on July 10.
Meghan was also present with the couple’s children, Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet. Ahead of Thursday’s event, TIME honoured Harry to celebrate his work with the Invictus Games.
For those unaware, the games are an adaptive sports contest that involves armed forces service personnel and veterans from around the world. As a veteran who served in the British Army for around 10 years, Harry was inspired to develop the games.
It’s reported the idea came about after he attended the US Olympic Committee’s Warrior Games in 2013. Since then, he has worked to take it from strength to strength.
