Spice Girl Mel B, 50, has opened up about her menopause symptoms in a very candid chat
Mel B has candidly opened up about going through menopause and revealed the “scary” symptoms she faced. The Spice Girls star, 50, confessed to feeling anxious and having “hot sweats”, which nearly led her to seeing her GP.
She spoke during an appearance at London’s Ce La Vie rooftop bar in London’s Paddington as the new global face of Revive Collagen. Revealing what she was going through, she admitted she used to sit in meetings wondering if other people were hot too.
The singer said she was confused about what was going on and thought “something is a bit wrong with me”.

Speaking to Daily Mail, Mel said the situation began affecting her bed time with new husband Rory McPhee, 37. She explained that while she would be profusely sweating on a night time, her man would be cold.
They took the plunge and bought an Eight Sleep mattress, which are around £3,000 each, but allows each person to have a different temperature on their side. She said: “We do have the Eight pod because I like a freezing bedroom and I was getting hot sweats at night.
“My side of the bed is really cold. The mattress controls the temperature and it wakes you up gently. It’s genius. Rory likes everything really really hot, he’s a bit of a softie. I like everything really cold. I’ve always been like that. I always like a window open even in winter but I needed it even colder.”
Opening up on her menopause struggles, she said she had been feeling more anxious and began “doubting myself”. She has since become a brand ambassador for Revive and said she made the decision after pondering a GP visit to discuss her symptoms.
And she joked she has renamed the menopause “Mel-opause, saying women must realise that the changes are not their fault. She added: “A billion women go through menopause worldwide every single year. It can happen at 35, it can happen at 50 and it can happen for 10 years, so what you are going through can be quite scary.”
But despite so much “misinformation”, Mel says it’s good that people are talking about it more now. Her comments come days after she surprised fans with a rare rendition of Spice Up Your Life with former band mate Melanie C.
Scary Spice stunned fans as she joined her pal on stage and belted out one of their most popular songs. The crowd happily sang along to the hit 90s tune and shared their admiration online.
One user online gasped as they shared footage: “What is happening?!?” Mel C told the crowd: “I have to stop because this is such a special moment.” Mel B interrupted her pal: “Don’t make me cry.”
“We haven’t done this since 2019 girlfriend,” Mel C went on as she referred to their Spice World – 2019 Tour. At the time, the duo sang to adoring fans with Emma Bunton and Geri Halliwell-Horner.
