Hyderabad:The Medical and Health Services Recruitment Board (MHSRB) on Tuesday announced the final results for the recruitment of 500 civil assistant surgeon (specialist) posts in government hospitals under the Directorate of Secondary Health Care (Telangana Vaidya Vidhana Parishad).
The results cover 174 posts in general surgery, 166 in general medicine, 89 in orthopaedics and 71 in radiology. Officials said the final selection list was prepared after verification of candidates’ certificates following the release of the provisional merit list. The list of selected candidates has been uploaded on the MHSRB website.
The state government had earlier issued a notification to fill 1,616 civil assistant surgeon (specialist) posts across 24 specialties to address the shortage of specialist doctors in government hospitals and strengthen healthcare services.
Congratulating the newly selected doctors, health minister Damodar Rajanarsimha said that with the latest results, the recruitment process for 1,192 specialist doctor posts has been completed.
