Michael Douglas recently confirmed that he and Kathleen Turner had a ‘secret affair’ when they were shooting for Romancing the Stone. While time and again, Kathleen said that there was attraction between them, she continued to deny being in a relationship with the actor. And ‘that was a lie,’ as shared by Douglas in his memoir.
Michael and his now ex-wife, Diandra Luker, were technically married back then, but they were separated. According to the actor, they were having extramarital affairs, respectively. However, when Michael and Kathleen were getting closer, Diandra showed up on the set of their film and confronted her, saying that Michael shouldn’t be considered available. Kathleen backed off from the relationship that she formed with Douglas and kept silent about it throughout all these years. It was years later that Michael and Diandra parted ways.
Michael Douglas’ ex-wife, Diandra, claimed half of his earnings from a particular film after a USD 45 million divorce settlement
Michael Douglas and Diandra Luker met when she was a 19-year-old student at Georgetown’s Edmund A. Walsh School of Foreign Service. Michael was 32 years old back then, and he proposed to Diandra after two weeks of dating.
Six weeks later, the couple got married and started their new life. A year after their marriage, Michael and Diandra welcomed their son, Cameron. After years of being together, Diandra filed for divorce from Michael in 1995. In 2000, Michael Douglas and Diandra’s marriage ended after a USD 45 million divorce settlement, along with their estate in Santa Barbara, California, and part of their Majorca home.
Following their split, the couple went their separate ways; however, in 2010, Diandra claimed half of Douglas’ movie, Wall Street: Money Never Sleeps, earnings. According to her, since the original movie was filmed in 1987 and she was married to Douglas at the time, as per the divorce agreement, she should get half of her ex-husband’s earnings from that project. However, the judge ruled against her, stating that a movie’s sequel, which is made more than 20 years later, is a completely separate job rather than a continuation of a project.

And for the same reason, Diandra didn’t get anything from that specific film. Speaking to Harper’s Bazaar, Diandra said that she’s not a greedy person and that she asked herself every night before walking away from the lawsuit.
The reason that Diandra received much hate was that she claimed 50 percent of the actor’s property; a few months later, it was revealed that the actor was suffering from stage IV throat cancer. According to Diandra, she didn’t know that he was ill; however, the entire incident turned into a mess, leaving her hurt. According to Diandra:
“I am not a greedy person by nature. I ask myself every night if I should walk away. Michael didn’t know he was ill, I didn’t know he was ill, and the gods didn’t know he was ill. I am not into going after sick people for things that don’t belong to me. That was not my intent. I’m not made of cement. I’m a human being.”
Diandra Luker is married to Princess Diana’s stepbrother
According to a report by the Daily Mail, back in September 2025, Diandra Luker got married to the Earl of Dartmouth, William Legge. The duo reportedly married in a small ceremony in Gibraltar, a place with which both William and Diandra are closely connected.

The marriage brought Diandra the title of Countess of Dartmouth. Speaking of William Legge, he is the stepbrother of the late Princess Diana, being the son of his mother, Raine Spencer, and Princess Diana’s father. William Legge was previously married as well and has a son from another relationship. As of now, Diandra and William are reportedly married.
