Miivo AI (TSX-V:MIVO) CEO Alex Damouni talked with Proactive about the company’s evolution into Miivo AI (TSX-V:MIVO) and its vision for helping businesses improve productivity through artificial intelligence.
Damouni explained that the company was founded with a mission to improve business success rates by giving owners greater visibility into their operations. The initial focus was on building an AI-powered platform that allows business owners to monitor customer activity, financial performance and operational metrics in real time.
As customer needs evolved, Miivo AI expanded beyond reporting and analytics to develop tools that help businesses take action. One example is the company’s lead finder solution, which was designed to improve sales productivity by making it easier to identify and capture qualified leads.
Looking ahead, Damouni outlined the next stage of the company’s strategy: developing AI agents capable of performing tasks based on user commands. He said the company is already building solutions for customers that can automate functions while maintaining human oversight.
The CEO also emphasized that AI is intended to augment employees rather than replace them. By automating manual tasks, businesses can free up staff to focus on higher-value activities, improve productivity and expand their capacity to serve customers while maintaining quality control through human supervision.
Proactive: Welcome back inside our Proactive newsroom. Joining me now is Alex Damouni. He is the CEO of now Miivo AI. Alex, it’s good to see you. How are you?
Alex Damouni: It’s great to see you too. I’m doing well. Thank you.
Officially under the new banner Miivo AI. It really is an evolution to get you to this point. You were building towards this, and it more accurately represents what the company is about. Is that fair to say?
That is definitely correct. That is absolutely correct.
Talk to us a bit about the origins of the company and building towards today.
When we first started, we began with a mission. We wanted to help improve the success rate of businesses because most businesses won’t last between five and ten years. We believed we could change this with technology.
The first challenge we wanted to tackle was visibility. We built an AI platform where owners can see what’s happening in their business in real time and receive insights about customers, financials and operations.
Once customers had visibility, we moved beyond reporting to helping companies take action. That led us to build growth tools such as the lead finder, which we discussed in an earlier interview. The lead finder was designed to improve sales productivity by making it easier to capture qualified leads.
That brings us to today. Miivo AI is now focused on the future. AI is everywhere. How do you continue to build toward the future and integrate AI further?
The natural evolution of our technology is that we’ve built AI tools businesses can use, whether for reporting, operations or automating manual functions.
The next evolution is to build AI agents that perform tasks when given commands. As we continue building solutions for customers, we’re able to develop capable agents that can perform tasks with human supervision.
As we build more of these agents, we can help business owners create AI-native businesses where sales, finance and other functions can become highly automated while still maintaining some level of human oversight.
That unlocks tremendous productivity. We’re no longer competing solely in a multibillion-dollar software market. We’re moving toward the $20 trillion to $30 trillion knowledge worker market, where we see significant growth potential. We’re only getting started.
Human supervision is important because many companies worry about what AI could mean for their workforce. The goal is to simplify time-consuming tasks so employees can focus on growing the business and pursuing new opportunities. Is that right?
Absolutely. You want to compound productivity within your company.
AI can perform certain manual tasks, which frees up time for employees to focus on activities that help grow the business. It can also expand the number of prospects a sales representative can engage with in a given day.
Human supervision remains essential, whether for quality control or making the best use of available time. It will always be an instrumental part of any business.
Makes a lot of sense. Alex, thanks so much. Congratulations on the new name, Miivo AI. We look forward to our next conversation.
Thanks. I look forward to it too.
That’s Alex Damouni, CEO of Miivo AI.
