Mike Tyson claimed to have caught his ex-wife Robin Givens and Brad Pitt in a compromising situation
Mike Tyson held back nothing and spoke candidly about the deepest, darkest secrets of his life. In his 2013 memoir, Undisputed Truth, he detailed the incident in which he allegedly caught his ex-wife Robin Givens in a compromising situation with Brad Pitt. Brad was allegedly “terrified” when he found out the legendary former boxer caught him in the act. “You had to see the look on his face. He looked like he was ready to receive his last rites,” Mike mockingly wrote in his memoir.
Mike also recounted the incident during an interview with comic Theo Von. The former told the host that when he caught Robin and Brad Pitt in the act, the couple was going through a contentious, painful divorce. However, during the separation, they were not completely estranged and even engaged in physical intimacy now and then. Mike claimed that he was sleeping with Robin at night, and during the day they were fighting regarding the divorce.
Mike Tyson and Robin Givens’ physical relationship was the last string left between them, which likely broke when the former saw the latter in a compromising situation with a young Brad Pitt in a BMW the former boxer had gifted her. According to Mike, that day, he was looking for Robin to get intimate with her, and when he didn’t find her at her house, he drove down the road and saw her with Brad. In his words:
“But, one day, I went over to the house [to have s–]. She wasn’t home. Nobody. And then, driving up the road with the BMW that I bought her and she had some — I thought it was one of her friends from Head of the Class, but it wasn’t one of her friends. It was Brad Pitt trying to get some [o— s–].”
Mike initially thought the man with Robin in the car was a co-star from her show Head of the Class, where she appeared from 1986 to 1991. However, that wasn’t the case, as it was allegedly Brad Pitt. At that time, the latter was a rising Hollywood hunk who wasn’t fully established yet. “He wasn’t Brad Pitt yet. I didn’t know who the f–k he was. He didn’t even have a car,” Mike stated.
Sharing the incident with Conan O’Brien in 2012, Mike revealed that it left him “emotionally comatose.” Some online accounts also claim that Mike caught Robin and Brad in bed as well, which she vehemently denied.
More about Mike Tyson and Robin Givens
Mike Tyson and Robin Givens’ marriage ended after just eight months amid allegations of domestic abuse, intense media scrutiny, and competing public narratives. Mike got smitten after seeing Robin Givens on television and pursued her in 1986. Despite initial hesitations from Robin’s mother and family, the duo grew close, leading to a whirlwind romance. Two years later, Mike and Robin married on February 7, 1988, in a traditional ceremony in Chicago.
They later had a civil ceremony in New York, without a prenuptial agreement. However, the short-lived marriage ended after she filed for divorce, citing spousal abuse. Although fighting on paper, they were allegedly still attracted to each other and occasionally engaged in physical intimacy, which likely stopped after Robin started seeing Brad Pitt. Her divorce from Mike was finalized in October 1989.
